CONGRATULATIONS TO JANET LUGGE WHO RECENTLY WAS INDUCTED INTO THE ILLINOIS COACHES ASSOCIATION'S HALL OF FAME SATURDAY. SHE AND HER HUSBAND RALPH COACHED AS A DUO FOR 31 YEARS. IN 2002 HER PANTHERS WERE 32-0 BUT THEN LOST TO BELLEVILLE WEST 2-0 IN SUPER-SECTIONAL PLAY. HER RECORED AT O'FALLON IS 406-180.

O'FALLON BOYS THOUGH LOSING A CLOSE BATTLE WITH EDWARDSVILE IN A BATTLE OF THE UNBEATEN BEFORE OVER 3,500 FANS IS RANKED 5TH IN THE CLASS 4A POLL OF ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAMS. THE PANTHERS ARE 12-1. EDWARDSVILLE IS RANKED 7TH. THEY DEFEATED GRANITE CITY 50-34 LST NIGHT (1/8/08)

O'Fallon's boys team is ranked fourth 2in the latest ND poll.of 2/6/07. The 18-5 Panthers again won the Belleville East tourney. Earlier in the year they fell to Edwardsville 56-44. The Panthers playing without Brock Conley and Wes Philips because of physical problems shot just 25% (15 of 61) from the floor.
